If thumbnails are not displaying correctly in the File Explorer, here’s a brief guide how to turn them on:
First type File Explorer into the search bar, you'll see 'File Explorer Options' appear in the list, click on it.
2. A small panel will open up, click the 'View' tab and then make sure the box next to, 'Always show icons, never thumbnails" is unchecked, then click 'Apply' in the lower right.
3. Check File Explorer to now see file thumbnails.
