The Workstation Idle Timer is a feature designed to monitor periods of inactivity on your workstation. It tracks the duration your workstation operates without user inputs, such as keyboard presses or mouse clicks.

Key Features:

  • Idle Timer Display: Located at the top of your Workstation Dashboard, next to your name and the power button, the Idle Timer shows how long your workstation has been idle.

  • Manual Control: You can pause the Idle Timer by clicking the pause button, stopping the idle time count. To resume, click the play button.

  • Default Timeout: Set to 55 minutes, the Idle Timer automatically shuts down the workstation if no input is detected within this period, preventing the use of an additional workstation hour.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Playback, Render, Export and other background tasks will not prevent your workstation from shutting down. If you have a long render make sure to pause the timer before stepping away.

Customization Options:

To adjust or disable the Idle Timer:

  1. Log in to my.cree8.io.

  2. Navigate to your Avatar at the top right and select Organization.

  3. In the Workstation settings field, enter your preferred duration in minutes or set it to 0 to disable the timer entirely for the Idle Timeout.

  4. Click Update to apply the changes.

Note: Changes apply to all workstations within your organization.
