The idle timer in your workstation is designed to track how long your workstation has been running without any inputs from a user.

In your workstation, the Idle Timer appears at the top of your Workstation Dashboard next to your name and the Power Button.

At any time, the user can press the pause button and the Idle Timer will stop counting how long your workstation runs idly without any inputs. To resume, simply click the play button.

What counts as an input? Its simple, inputs are key presses from your keyboard, or mouse clicks.

The default Idle time out is set to 55 minutes. We've chosen this time, 5 minutes before a whole hour, so that if a user has accidentally left their workstation running, it shuts down before it uses another workstation hour from your account.

Can the default time be changed? Yes, the default idle timeout can be changed from 55 minutes to any other amount you would like or it can disabled entirely.

To change or disable the idle timer, log in to my.cree8.io and click on the settings option followed by Org Profile, and then select the Customization tab.

Once there, you'll see a field labeled Idle Timeout. Change the time in minutes to your preference, or set it to 0 minutes to fully disable it, and then click the Update button.

One thing to note, this changes the setting for all of your Organization's workstations.
