Org Admins have the ability to add new workstation. Here's how to get started:

First, log in my.cree8.io to access the your dashboard. Navigate to the 'Workstations' section on the left-hand side and click on 'Add New Workstation'.

Here, a simple click on 'Add New Workstation' sets the stage for creating your new workspace.

As you proceed, you'll notice that the region is already selected for you. This convenience is a small step now, but in the future, you’ll have the option to choose from multiple regions, tailoring your workstation’s location to your specific needs.

Next, you’ll face an important decision: selecting the processor type. If your tasks are light and don’t demand heavy processing power, a CPU processor is your best bet. However, if your projects involve high-performance tasks like video editing or complex 3D rendering, opting for a GPU processor will give you the power you need.

Choosing your workstation’s capacity and features is like picking the perfect car. Think of the "machine size" as the horsepower, determining how much work it can handle at once. For GPU processors, consider how graphically intensive your projects are. A more robust machine will handle complex video editing or 3D rendering. After selecting the machine size, pick a pre-packaged set of tools and applications that suit your needs. And if the options don’t quite fit, don’t hesitate to contact support for customization possibilities.

For CPU processors, select a machine size that best suits your general computing needs, ensuring it aligns with your daily tasks and workload.

As you move forward, you’ll configure the system by selecting the root disk size. This is your (C:) Drive that accommodates your operating system, applications, and workstation downloads, so make sure you have a enough space here.

Naming your workstation is the next step. Choose a unique name that stands out, making it easily identifiable. Including a number, like 'WS-Name-01,' helps distinguish your workstations as your organization grows.

Before finalizing, take a moment to review and confirm your selections. Double-check everything to ensure your workstation is set up exactly as you desire. Then, with a click on "Continue," you’ll create your new workstation.

Once created, your new workstation will appear in your Workstation list, marked with a "New" label. As the machine becomes fully operational, the "Almost" label will disappear, signaling that your new digital workspace is ready for your first start and connection.

How to remove a Workstation:

  • To delete a workstation, click on the trash can icon next to the workstation's listing. There will be a 10-second count down before the system permanently removes the workstation, and you can always abort the operation if you change your mind.
