A Watch Folder is a specific folder on your local computer's hard drive that maintains a continuous sync with a folder inside a CREE8 project. Once set up, CREE8 "watches" this local folder; any time you add new files to it, they are automatically uploaded to your designated project in the cloud.
Step-by-Step: Setting Up a Watch Folder
Setting up a sync takes less than a minute. Follow these steps as shown in the demonstration:
Navigate to the Watch Folder Tab - On the left-hand sidebar of your CREE8 application, click on the Watch Folder icon (it looks like a folder with an eye).
Add a New Watch Folder - In the top right corner of the Watch Folders screen, click the blue + Add Watch Folder button.
Select Your Destination - A "Create watch folder" window will appear. You need to tell CREE8 where the files should go:
POD: Select the appropriate POD from the dropdown menu (if there is only one choice, then you can keep that selected.)
Project: Choose the specific project within that POD where you want your files to land.
Link Your Local Folder Click the Browse Folders button. This will open your computer's file explorer (Finder on Mac or Explorer on Windows).
Locate the folder on your hard drive you wish to sync.
Select the folder and click Select.
Finalize Once the path is set, click Continue. Your Watch Folder is now active! Depending on the size of the folder contents, it could take some time to synch.
